Show Control System: How do I build a requested data/stats button in Display Studio with a Data Studio source?

Steps

Create a Content Studio File with Filters

After setting up a Data Studio source, you will need to create Content Studio presentation and add filters to the data fields based on what fields you want selected.

Script Button Creation

For overall scripting: Display Studio: How do I Create Scripting Buttons?

Within the scripting container, right click and select New Button.

Step 1: Choose the player the button will be controlling
Step 2: Choose the zone/window the button will be controlling. Use the search bar above the zones to filter zones if needed. 
Step 3: Choose the button's function. For this, choose, Play, Add to Playlist or Create Playlist.  
Step 4: Choose the content to be played by clicking Add and navigating to the correct folder housing the desired content.  Content with selectable data will have a yes under Selectable Data

Play Configuration

In Step 4 in button creation, there a is a data icon. Click this button to reveal the selected data options.

Default Data: Entering data into the box will create a default for which data will be played out depending on the filter you choose.

Prompt: Check this to enable an extra menu that will appear when the button is clicked.  This slide out will allow the user to select any data fields or enter text  before sending to the display. 
If prompt is not checked, the default data will play.

Playlists: You can select data for playlists as well. For more information on Display Studio Playlists see Show Control System: How do I create a playlist to play from a button?

Once you are finished creating the button, click Save on the bottom right corner of the button's window.

 

Play out the button.

If the prompt button is selected, a slide out will appear when the button is clicked.

Type in the appropriate data.  
Click Accept to send the content and data to the display.
