Data Studio: How do I integrate with Presto Sports for Basketball or Volleyball
Topic
Environment
- Product:
- Component: Data Studio Basketball, Data Studio Volleyball
- Control System: Show Control System (SCS), Venus Control Suite (VCS)
- Presto Sports must output a StatCrew XML equivalent XML. This is the file that Daktronics will be able to integrate with. *NOTE: The file must match the StatCrew XML format, and any discrepancies in the data file are the responsibility of the end-user to resolve with Presto Sports.
Steps
DAKTRONICS ONLY INTEGRATES TO BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL.
Presto Basketball:
- Data Studio Basketball
- Supports Allsport 5000, ERTD, JSON, Selected Stats via the Data Studio Basketball Interface and Fixed Digit P, F, Pts displays.
- Have the customer reach out to PrestoSports to get the PrestoSync software or have them download it here - PrestoSync
- Install the PrestoSync software and have them follow the directions in the PrestoSync Guide also in the link above. For this purpose, follow Step 6 "Send from PrestoStats" in the PrestoSync Guide to pull the xml file from the cloud back to the stats computer. Recommend using a simple naming convention for the folder such as "C:\Basketball" and the file such as bbgame.xml.
- Test that the PrestoSync software is writing to the file by going to the folder you created in the step above and clicking on the .xml file from the step above. You will see the team names and player names in this xml file as well as Windows explorer will update the date modified properties as it is being written to.
