LCD Networks: How do I configure my DWP for video streaming?

UDP streaming on a DWP 

Environment

  • Product: Daktronics Web Player (DWP)
  • Component: Players, URI files

Steps

  1. Make a .uri file
    1. Open a new notepad file
    2. Type the UDP and Port information from the desired stream in the file 
      1. This would be udp:// IP address :port
      2. 2021-11-22_13-29-52.jpg
    3. Save file
      1. Save as type: All Files (".")
      2. Use the .uri file extension
  2. Upload the .uri file into Venus Control Suite
    1. Associate and tag the file as necessary
    2. Schedule as normal content
