Note: It is always best to consult the manual of the scoreboard to verify the horn volume is adjustable. Scoreboard manuals can be found here. As a general rule the 120 Vac buzzer horn is adjustable but the 12Vdc horn (sounds like a fog horn) is not.
- Turn off power to the scoreboard.
- Locate the horn on the front of the scoreboard, and look for a hex head set screw on the face of the horn, circled in yellow below.
- The horn is typically found in the Game Time section of the scoreboard, on the front..
- Use a 3/32 inch hex wrench and turn the screw clockwise to reduce the volume.
- Test the volume and continue to adjust until the desired volume is obtained.
- It is important to note that the horn will sound much louder in an empty gym than it will when it is full of fans.
