How do I add a font in Vanguard V4 software?

Steps

  1. Open Vanguard V4 software, go to the Tools tab, System Configuration, Manage Edit Settings, Manage server fonts, then click Add a new font.
  2. Browse to the location of the font to be added, then click Open button.
  3. Once you are finished, go back to the Tools > System Configuration "home". Click  Configuration > Manage display types, double-click on your display type where the new font is to be used, and click the Fonts tab.
  4. You will have to override a font you are not using, and choose the font you created in the Server fonts list on the left, and click a font or empty slot on the right (Display type fonts). Then click OK.
  5. Close System Configuration window. 
  6. Go to the Home tab and double-click on the display you wish to add the new font to, to open the Display Control Panel.
  7. Go to Messaging Options >  Manage display fonts and click Synchronize entire display font table with display type table.

*The steps above will need to be performed for each display type and display you wish to add the new font to.  Keep in mind that the font needs to be located in all three locations (Server, Display Type, and Display) in order to be used.
