S1600, Gaining Access to 1.5 Lamp Bank
Topic
Environment
- S1600
- 1.5" lamp bank
Steps
- Will need a special flat access tool, 0M-95442 (can be done with a skinny shaft, flat screwdriver, but not that easily); and a needle-nose pliers can help.
- Remove an entire 8x16 module, which is held in place by two latches; and then remove the lamp bank from the module/lens assembly.
- Remove the lens from row 4, column 1 and 16 of the 8x16 module/lens assembly (don't need a tool to remove the lens, but the pliers can help).
- Fully insert the access tool into the exposed latch access hole; this should release the latch; pull the module slightly forward to prevent re-latching. Repeat for both latches.
- Pull the module assembly forward enough to reach behind it, unplug it and remove.
- Release the clips from the 4 corners of the lamp bank to remove it from the module assembly.
- Reverse the steps to install the replacement lamp bank; make sure the lamp bank is fully seated and all 4 clips are securely latched.
- Do not need the access tool to re-install the module, simply apply pressure until you hear the latches snap into place. For additional pressure to seat the module, use a short 2x4 placed across the louvers and strike with your hand.
