Venus 1500: Can't schedule content by date or time, Schedule is in continuous mode

Potential Symptoms

  • Schedule has all messages in a single combined playlist rather than in individually scheduled playlists.
  • Schedule tab used to look like a calendar but now has a single list.
  • After updating my Venus software, I am no longer able to set up to play a message or presentation by time of day or day of the week but only have option to play all the time.
  • After switching computers, the Venus 1500 V4 playlist schedule is not showing up correctly or appears different than you are used to seeing.
  • Recently changed computers and now I can't find where to schedule my content to run on specified days.
  • After changing computers and importing old database, the sign seems to be running ALL content rather than by the schedule that was originally set up.
  • Unable to schedule specific messages for specific dates.
  • Unable to day part content.
  • Where is my calendar view or where did it go?
  • Venus 1500 v4, Can't schedule messages for certain times.
  • "View" dropdown button is missing.

Environment

  • Product: Venus 1500 V4
  • Component: Scheduling mode
  • Control System:

Cause

  • Schedule view is set to continuous mode scheduling.
    • May occur when transferring the database or retrieving schedule from the display if Venus was in Continuous Mode rather than Scheduled Mode. When Scheduled Mode playlists are introduced to a Continuous Mode environment it combines all playlists into a single Continuous playlist.
  • Note: Venus 1500 V4 installs by default to Continuous Mode scheduling upon setup.
