Kansas State Set to Entertain Fans with Third-Largest Video Display for Collegiate Soccer from Daktronics

Buser Family Park features 930 square feet of digital display space for fall of 2022

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Aug. 17, 2022 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has continued a long-standing relationship with Kansas State University to design, manufacture and install a new LED video display – third-largest for collegiate soccer – at Buser Family Park on campus in Manhattan, Kansas. Installation took place over the summer so the display was up and running for the fall sports season to begin.

“We are excited for the videoboard and its addition to our already amazing facility,” said K-State Soccer Head Coach Mike Dibbini. “This will make an impact on our program and adds a dynamic piece to both the student-athlete and fan experiences. We are so thankful for the generosity of the Buser Family and their continued dedication to make such generous gifts to aid our soccer program and K-State Athletics.”

“The Buser family’s generosity and love for our soccer program has helped us build one of the top soccer stadiums in the Big 12, and this addition takes it to another level,” said K-State Director of Athletics Gene Taylor. “The new videoboard will greatly enhance the fan experience at our matches while also serving as a phenomenal recruiting advantage within our conference.”

The new display measures nearly 23 feet high by 41 feet wide for a total of 930 square feet of digital space to engage and entertain Wildcats fans at every event. It features a 15HD pixel layout and industry-leading environmental protection to deliver crisp, clear imagery to every seat in the stadium.

The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to be divided into multiple zones of content. This includes live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

“On behalf of everyone here at Daktronics, we greatly appreciate the opportunity to unveil this exciting new video display and audio technology to the fan experience at Buser Family Park,” said Ryan Kuzman, Daktronics sales representative. “Thanks again to Kansas State Athletics and their staff who helped us to make this a reality.“

A Sportsound® 500HD audio system will be integrated with the video and scoring system to provide full-range sound reproduction and clear, intelligible speech throughout the stadium. This will provide a powerful audio experience for fans paired with the visuals from the video display for a complete audiovisual environment.

Daktronics will also be including a complete Show Control solution. This industry-leading control system provides a combination of display control software, world-class video processing, data integration and playback hardware that forms a powerful yet user-friendly production solution.
