Daktronics Bringing New Video Display and Audio System to LaGrange High School
BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 1, 2018 – A new video display and audio system designed and manufactured by Daktronics Inc. (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, are en route to Callaway Stadium in LaGrange, Georgia. The installation will begin this summer to have the displays up and running for fall events in 2018.
"The new video board is going to significantly improve the Callaway Stadium experience. We are excited to highlight people, events and businesses," said Mike Pauley, LaGrange High School Athletics Director. "We look forward to running hype videos, commercials and celebrating events such as graduation ceremonies. A big thank you to the Troup County School System, the Troup County Parks and Recreation Commission and LaGrange College for seeing this project completed."
"Callaway Stadium is owned by the Calloway Foundation and shared by five entities," explained Scott Berardi, Daktronics Sales Representative. "LaGrange, Calloway and Troup High Schools all share the field as well as the city's Parks and Recreation Department and LaGrange College. The universality of the board is a key element in making each event feel personalized. Whatever it's used for, it looks and feels like the user's own video board."
The new video display will keep score for football, soccer and lacrosse games as well as band events. Measuring 18 feet high by 33 feet wide with 15HD pixel layout, the display showcases crisp, clear imagery with wide-angle visibility to fans in every seat.
Callaway Stadium will also receive a custom audio system from Daktronics. The audio system will integrate with the video and scoring system to provide full-range sound reproduction. This powerful system will combine with the display to provide a dynamic audiovisual experience for fans.
