Vanguard Software license has expired

Potential Symptoms

  • Error in Vanguard "An error was encountered while retrieving software license information. The trial license has expired."
  • Unable to login to Vanguard Professional or Standard.
  • Vanguard 30-day trial has expired

Cause

  • The trial license has expired on the device using the Vanguard Software.
  • Unlocks have run out under the account.
  • The expiration date has expired for the license. 

Resolution

  1. Select OK on the error.
  2. Select Change current Licensing.
  3. Acquire license.
  4. Call Daktronics.
  5. Lock code 4-xxxxx.
  6. Email the lock code to Daktronics or provide to the technician over the phone.
  7. Select Previous 2 times.
  8. Select Add licensing details.
  9. Add license from file.
  10. Select Browse (browse to the license file that was sent to you).
  11. Select Finish.
  12. The software may require you to restart your computer.
