Venus Accounts: Unable to edit playlist in sub account; Playlist owned by main account in Venus Control Suite

Potential Symptoms

  • Message in Venus Control Suite (VCS) while editing a playlist shows:
    • You cannot edit this playlist because it is owned by another account.
  • Media Files section is grayed out unless you hit the "+" sign next to it.
    • "Media File Name" will not play in any inherited playlist.
  • Unable to edit the Displays associated.
  • No "Save" button, only exit button.

Environment

  • Product: Venus Basic, Venus Select, Venus Professional, Venus Enterprise

  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based

Cause

  • Playlist is associated to main account.

Resolution

  • Log into main (parent) account to change playlist.
