Venus Scheduling: How can I bypass VCS cloud configuration to play content directly from the DMP?

 How do I bypass cloud scheduling and play content directly from the DMP (no VIP present).

Environment

  • Product Family: Video; Matrix
  • Product: NPN-4100
  • Components: DMP; VCS (Cloud based)
  • Control System: VCS; Venus Control Suite

Steps

  1. Disable schedule mode from VCS.

  2. Log into the DMP directly and open the Control Panel.
  3. From the "Now Playing" tab, click the "Playlist" dropdown and add the content needing to be played (if needed, add content locally to DMP's content folder first).
    *If needed, select the Loop All option under the "Playlist" dropdown also.

  4. Enable schedule mode back to VCS when ready to go back to cloud content.
