Environment

  • Product Family: Narrow Pixel Pitch Display - NPP
  • Product: DVN-4003
  • Components: Module
  • Control System: NovaStarLCT Mars

Steps

Caution: Modules must be installed in their corresponding sections (Ex: Modules B01-A and B01-B would be installed in Section B01).

  • Identification labels can be found on the top edge of the module.
  • Section labels can be found on the back of each section.
  • Modules with receiver cards will be labeled as -A and are to be installed on the right side (front view) of the panel.
  • Modules without receiver cards will be labeled as -B and are to be installed on the left side (front view) of the panel.

Note: If not handled properly, modules can be easily damaged during installation and removal. Use caution when installing, removing, and handling modules.

Removing Module

  1. Ensure the module removal tool is clean and free of metal shavings or other contaminants before contacting the display face.
  2. Turn the dial on the module removal tool clockwise to retract the magnet inward.
  3. Hold the dial on the module removal tool in the right-most position, then gently place the module removal tool on the center of the module.
  4. Turn the dial on the module removal tool counterclockwise to extend the magnet.
  5. Hold the module removal tool at body level and gently pull on it until the module retracts from the display face.
    • Use caution when pulling on the module. Avoid sliding the module removal tool across the module face when pulling
  6. Disconnect power and signal cables from the module.
    • If the module has a receiver card, disconnect the cables from the receiver card.
  7. Place the removed module on a clean, padded surface.

Installing Module

  1. Hold the module in place near the corresponding opening.
  2. Connect the two power cables and ribbon cable.
    • For modules with receiver cards, connect the two network cables to the receiver card. These cables are interchangeable and can be connected to any port on the receiver card.
  3. Ensure that cables are routed neatly and will not be pinched or damaged after the module snaps in place.
  4. Guide the module into position, with the alignment pins nesting in the corresponding alignment holes.
  5. Once aligned, press on the module to snap it into place.
