Cricket Scoreboard: The Batsman and Bowler Indicators do not light up when using Total Cricket Scorer (TCS).

Potential Symptoms

  • The Batsman and Bowler Indicators do not light up when using Total Cricket Scorer.

Environment

  • Fixed Digit Scoreboard
  • Total Cricket Scorer version 7
  • Total Cricket Scorer version 8
  • TCS Cricket Interface
  • All Sport 5000 Console

Cause

  • There is a delay in the software preventing the indicators from lighting.

Resolution

  • Update the software to Version 8
  • Verify the version is at least 8.0.03.02
  • This was the release that had the 1ms delay added for the indicators to display correctly

For Temporary Operation

  1. Open up Total Cricket Scorer (TCS).
  2. Under the Scoreboard, open up the Loopback Test
  3. This will provide the delay needed.
  4. They may not be using an All Sport Console to send the data out. A few sites are using a radio based communication method.
