Environment

  • Product: Show Control, DMP-7000, DMP-8000
  • Components: Windows XP or Windows 7 network drive
  • Control System:

Mapping a network drive is necessary when media items must be shared among multiple computers in a Show Control System, such as when media items on a DMP7000 computer must be accessed by the Display Studio User Station. It provides easy and quick access to shared files and folders and eliminates the need for browsing through an entire list of network resources in order to locate the needed file or folder.

Steps

Windows XP User Station

1.  On the computer from which you wish to access the shared folder, click Start, and then click My Documents.

2.  Click the Tools menu, and then click Map Network Drive.

3.  In the Map Network Drive dialog box, select the Drive letter you wish to associate with the shared folder (if desired).
