Venus 1500 V4 Error: "One or more elements did not have the font applied. TrueType fonts are not allowed with flashing text and data fields."

Potential Symptoms

  • When choosing an alternate font for a data field (time/date/temp), I receive a prompt that it was unsuccessful.
  • The following error occurs: One or more elements did not have the font applied.  TrueType fonts are not allowed with flashing text and data fields.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4
  • Content Studio

Cause

  • Data fields can only have Venus Type fonts, not True Type fonts.

Resolution

  • Select a Venus Type font.
    • Note: Venus type fonts are found towards the bottom of the font drop down window.
