HS-200 works fine when plugged in, but not when ran on battery power
Potential Symptoms
- HS-200 not holding a charge.
- Battery Charging/Battery Full LED's comes on when plugged in, but when unplugged it immediately shows Battery Low and will not work.

Cause
- Bad Horn Start (Either battery or charge circuit).
Resolution
- Exchange or send the HS-200 in for repair.
Note: Daktronics is unable to send out a battery replacement for the HS-200 due to risk of serious injury.
CAUTION: DO NOT attempt to perform field repairs AND Daktronics will not provide any troubleshooting advice that involves opening up the Horn Start 200. This is because the voltage levels on the External Strobe Module can reach up to 450v and trigger up to 6KV with dangerous and potentially fatal current levels.
For Temporary Operation
- The decision has been made to sunset the OmniSport timing System.
- No new orders are planned, existing systems have up to a 7-year service plan.
