Local Hosted DMP and VIP Offline; IP Address Incorrect on Devices.

Potential Symptoms

  • DMP and VIP offline in Venus Control Suite local host but able to reach the devices via their web interfaces.
  • Communication errors on the Dashboard.
  • Unable to associate devices in VCS.

Cause

  • Services are pointing to the incorrect IP address/computer name of the VCS server.

Resolution

  • Connect to the DMP and VIP web interfaces to correct the IP address or computer name.
    • It may be better to put the computer name to avoid IP address change on the VCS computer causing a communication error.
