Steps

Follow the Installation Guidelines for installing and connecting the WebRelay-10 device.

Connect the Ethernet port

This typically connects to an Ethernet hub, switch, or router. For the initial configuration, WebRelay-10 may be connected directly to the Ethernet port on a tech's computer using a "crossover" cable.

  1. Connect to the WebRelay-10 Utility.
WebRelay-10 has a built-in web server that provides simple web pages that can be accessed directly using a standard web browser. This allows users to access the unit with NO SOFTWARE installed on their computer.
    1. Temporarily assign an IP address to the tech's  computer so that it is on the same network as WebRelay-10. By default, WebRelay-10 comes from the factory with an IP address of 192.168.1.2.  For example, the configuration computer could be assigned to 192.168.1.50.  An example of the temporary network settings are in the screenshot below:

    2. Click OK.
    3. To access the WebRelay setup pages, enter the following URL in the address bar of a web browser: http://192.168.1.2/setup.html
    4. After the page is requested, a password prompt will appear. Enter the username and password. The default username is admin and the default password is webrelay (password is case sensitive).

    5. Click on the Network tab and set the network parameters so the WebRelay-10 can connect with the rest of the control system.

    6. WebRelay-10 must be power-cycled (power disconnected, then reconnected) before network settings take effect.

    7. The configuration computer's network settings can be returned to the previous settings.

  2. Connect to permanent network
    1. Connect the Ethernet port to the network this typically connects to an Ethernet hub, switch, or router for permanent use.
    2. Return to WebRelay setup pages, enter the following URL in the address bar of a web browser: http://{ipaddress}/setup.html
    3. After the page is requested, a password prompt will appear. Enter the username and password. The default username is admin and the default password is webrelay.

  1. Create .script files. The script files are text files that contain the command and the address.  The example below will turn off relay 1-3 off.

    http.get(url:http://10.0.50.3:80/state.xml?relay1=0&relay2=0&relay3=0);

(Note: For x-wr-1r12-1i-i remote relay there is only a single relay so wording is different for script file.)
    http.get(url:"http://131.230.118.156:80/state.xml?relayState=0");  Play 1 on.script   Play 1 off.script

    1. Lines can be added or removed depending on how the customer wants things grouped.
    2. Enter the IP Address and Port #'s would need to be edited to match the above WebRelay-10 settings.
