GS6, Sign is blank with no heartbeat, Failed controller power supply

Potential Symptoms

  • Sign is completely blank with no heartbeat.
  • No LED's on the client radio.
  • No LED on the power supply.
  • No lights on the controller.
  • No incoming power (12VDC) to the controller.
  • Fluctuating readings from the controller power supply to the controller.
  • Incoming power to the power supply is 120VAC.
  • The power supply may show no sign of failure but everything will work correctly when it is replaced.

    Cause

    • Failed controller power supply.

    Resolution

    • Replace the controller power supply.

    For Temporary Operation

    • Swap power supply from area of sign with minimal visual impact.
