line light 1 light sensor not reporting values to the VFC or in Vanguard Software

Potential Symptoms

  • On the VFC peripheral screen, the line light 1 is failing. No value is reporting. 

Environment

  • Product Family: Transportation
  • Product: Vanguard display
  • Component: 0P-1971-4650 module with built in light sensor.
  • Control System: VFC controller, Vanguard Professional Software

Cause

  • The sensor for line light 1 is located on the module and is not working.

Resolution

  • Replace the module addressed at location 101 (typically the top left module as you are facing the sign for normal viewing, if inside the sign, it would be the top right).

For Temporary Operation

  • Swap with another module. Move the "bad" mod to the lower left or right corner.
