Setting minimum or maximum light levels on a VFC controller

    Steps

    1. Connect to the VFC Primary Ethernet port.
    2. Enter the IP address of the controller into the web browser.
      • Example: http://10.10.10.10:85.
    3. You will be prompted for the user name and password.
      • Contact tech support at 1800-833-3157 for username and password.
    4. Select OK.
    5. Select the wrench icon on the left side of the screen.
    6. If there is a red ball by Network click the word Network. If no red ball, then skip to step 9.

    7. Go to DNS Configuration and enter 0.0.0.0 for the Preferred and Alternate DNS Server and then click on Save at the top. If you see a no icon when trying to save, verify the DNS IPs are entered correctly and not 0.0.0.0 or something similar.
    8. Next step is to set the Location:
      1. Select Location.
      2. Change State to the State in which the display is located.
        • Texas is shown in the example below.
      3. Change City to the City in which the display is located.
        • Dallas is shown in the example below.
      4. Select Save at the top.

    9. Next step is to set the Brightness:
      1. In Brightness Limits click on Day and Night.
      2. In the Day box set Minimum Brightness to the minimum level you want the display to use.
        • 30% (Blue line) is shown in the example below.
      3. In the Night box set Maximum Brightness to the maximum level you would want the display to reach at night.
        • 7% (Red line) is shown in the example below.
    10. Select Save.
