How to configure a VFC controller for a full color VM-1020 display?

Steps
- Check the settings on the VCB & I/O boards before configuring the controller.
- VCB may be inside the enclosure box outside the sign or inside sign, set the addressing dial to 0.
- I/O board inside the sign(only present if the VCB is not located in sign), set the dipswitch address 1 & 5 to ON.
- Cycle power to both in order for them to recognize the changes.
- Log into the VFC controller using the keypad on the front.
Site Configuration: (Refer to the SITE CONFIGURATION DOCUMENT).
- Select CONFIGURATION.
- Select System CONFIGURATION.
- Select MODEL, select VM-1020.
- Select ACCESS, select FRONT.
- Select MODULE.
- Select MODULE TYPE, select FULL COLOR.
- Select MODULE POWER TYPE, GEN 4 (24 VOLT BUS).
- Select MODULE SIZE, select 24x16.
- Select PIXEL PITCH, input 20, press ENTER.
- Select PIXEL HEIGHT, input 24, press ENTER.
- Select PIXEL WIDTH, (You can also go to the sign and count the mods & multiply that by the amount of LED clusters on a single row on one of the mods to determine the pixel width).
- Select TYPE, select LINE MATRIX.
- Select DISPLAY INTERFACE, input 1, press ENTER.
- Select DISPLAY INTERFACE LOCATION, select INTERNAL.
Peripheral Configuration: (Refer to the SITE CONFIGURATION DOCUMENT).
- Select GUIDED SETUP.
- Select LINE for Light Sensor.
- Select YES for use Lux Light Sensor.
- Select Module for Temperature Sensor.
- Select NO for humidity sensor.
- Select YES for Isolation boards.
- Select 2 for number of Isolation boards.
- Select NO isolation boards in sign.
- Select YES for DC I/O if VCB is in external enclosure or Select NO if VCB is in sign.
- Select NO for VCB II Retro.
- Select YES for Door Sensors.
- Select 1 for number of door sensors.
- Select NO for door sensors connected to modules.
- Select Yes for Airflow Sensors.
- Select 2 for number of airflow sensors (check contract config document for correct number of sensors).
- Select I/O for Airflow Sensor Type. (I/O is used if the VCB is located outside the sign in an enclosure box. CAN, 30000 is used if the VCB is mounted inside the sign).
- Select YES for RPM Sensors.
- Select 2 for Number of RPM sensors. (check contract config document for correct number of sensors).
- Select NO for Cabinet Heaters.
- Select NO for Defog Heaters.
- Select NO for Face Fans.
- Select Yes for Vent Fans.
- Select NO for Beacons.
- Select YES for Surge Suppressor.
- Select 1 for number of Surge Suppressors.
- Select GEN IV (DEFAULT) for Choose Power System.
NOTE:
Surge Suppressors, check peripherals that its on pin 21, if not then delete it and add it through the Advanced setup.
Door switch, check peripherals that its on pin 22, if not then delete it and add it through the Advanced setup.
