Display Studio Status Error, authenticating client credentials, time not in sync

Potential Symptoms

  • Display Studio gives error "Error authenticating client credentials. Make sure the Client and Server time are the same GMT".

Cause

  • Time zone is incorrect or time is incorrectly set on one of the PCs.

Resolution

  • Correct the time zone and set time on the issue PC.
    • This may need to be done manually if the sync is not taking.
  1. Access the control panel on the start menu.
  2. Select date and time.
  3. Select Change time zone... to change the time zone.
  4. Select Change date and time... to manually change the time.
  5. Select internet options to verify the time is being pulled through on the correct server.
