Fuelight: Unable to communicate to all displays using wired setup; Displays out of Sync

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to communicate to all displays.
  • Improper boot up sequence.
  • Boot sequence not performed correctly, potentially due to sudden power outage.
  • One structure shut off by customer and recently powered back up.

Environment

  • Product: Fuelight, FL-3000, FL-4500, Gas, Petroleum, or Fuel Price Display, FL digit product
  • Component: Multi-Pylon setup using FLD3-2000 communication (wired setup)
  • Control System: DM-100

Cause

  • The displays are out of sync.

Resolution

  1. Locate the breaker panel for each pylon.
  2. Power down each pylon (in no particular order).
  3. Power down the DM-100 (unplug the DC transformer from it).
  4. Disconnect the DM-100 for the Indoor Jbox
  5. Power up all pylons at the same time. If that is not possible do the best you can.
  6. Wait for the displays to bootup. Then power up the DM-100.
  7. Reconnect the DM-100 to the indoor Jbox.
  8. Run Detect Displays. Digit and Price Displays: How do I run the Detect Displays function on a DM-100?
  9. Update the display prices. Verify they updated.
