How to Set Server Serial Radio to Signal Strength Mode

Steps

Note: By default the server radio does not display signal strength.

  1. Allow the radio to power up on the address as normal.
  2. Open up the server radio enclosure.
  3. Power down the radio by removing the RS-422 jumper.
  4. Change the hex switch to E and allow it to remain there for 10 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the RS-422 jumper.
  6. LEDs (DS4-11) will display signal strength.
  7. Power down the radio by removing the RS-422 jumper.
  8. Change hex switch back to original address.
  9. Reconnect the RS-422 jumper.

Note: Signal strength mode can only be used with one server-one client configuration. This option is not available with multiple-client configuration.
