GalaxyPro: How to connect to the GalaxyPro Revolution (GPR) using M4Config utility?

Resolution

  1. Install M4Config. Follow M4Config Utility: How to download & install on your computer? 
  2. Open M4Config. Follow How to open the M4Config utility after it has been installed? 
  3. Connecting to the display using M4Config utility. 

Note: GPR displays are prompted for a password to be set during the Venus 1500 v4 installation.  This password is customer chosen.

Option A: Using Auto Detect:

This option can be used if display and computer are on the same subnet. Click on the antenna button.

If the display is detected, then select the display and hit OK.

Option B: Entering the IP of the display into M4Config.

Enter the IP address of the display into M4Config Window.  Tip: IP address info can be obtained from the display start up sequence.

  1. Hit Enter or click the green arrow to the right.
👉If having difficulties connecting to a display through the network.  Recommended to try a direct connection to the display or display communication equipment.
  1. Connect a laptop to the communication equipment directly.  (Hence not going through the network)
  2. The computer NIC card will need to be set to a static IP address that is close to the current display IP address. (e.g. display is 172.16.192.25, NIC would be 172.16.192.20).
  3. In M4Config, manually put the IP address of the display in the blank space and click connect button.
