No communication to multiple Galaxy displays, IP address is setup correctly.

Potential Symptoms

  • No communication to multiple Galaxy displays, IP addresses seem to be setup correctly.

Environment

  • AF-3400,AF-3500, Galaxy Displays
  • M2, M3 controllers
  • Venus 1500 Ver. 4.20.4
  • Ethernet communication
  • Adam Switch

Cause

  • Software needs to have  the two different IP addresses setup in order to communicate with each of the displays.
  • Can change IP on each controller to what works for site network with M2Config, see  DD1980638

Resolution

Edit the display configuration in the Venus 1500 software to match the IP address of each display. They cannot be the same IP like the default .25
  • The  IP address can be obtained by cycling power to the displays. Watch the boot up info on top row.
  • IP address will show on the display as (172.16.192.25) and the other .26 if set up correctly.
  • Each display must have it's own IP address : Example one at 172.16.192.25 and the other at .26
  • The IP address range has to work with customer's network.
