  1. Set the display mode to Test pattern and None or All Off.
    • Wait until the VIP fully switches to test pattern mode as evident by the sign blanking.  This can also be verified by looking for 0 on the format under the input portion in a VIP-4060 or the source as Test Patterns on a VIP-5000 series.
  2. Click on the Panel Adjustment tab from the choices along the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the Start button in the upper left.
  4. Click on the drop down arrow in the box called "Pattern" and select one of the colors (Red, Green or Blue).
    • At this point you should see both a grid in the VIP web interface and the color you selected playing on the display.
  5. Click the Green plus sign (+) next to white to show the Red, Green, and Blue sliders.
    • Tip: You can select multiple modules on a row or column by clicking and holding, then dragging the cursor to desired modules.
  6. Click your cursor on the square that represents the module you are going to calibrate.
  7. Make adjustments to the module based on whether it needs to go darker or brighter.
    • If you need to brighten the module increase the percentage of the color.
    • If you need to dim the module decrease the percentage of the color.
  8. Once percentage change has been entered, click Apply to send it to the display.
  9. Repeat the process with each module that needs adjustment on the color chosen until the display is uniform and then click the Save button.
  10. Select a different color in the box labeled Pattern at the top right and perform the same steps for the remaining colors until all the modules are calibrated.
    • White works well to determine if the 3 primary colors were set correctly but it does not work well to calibrate from.  If a module is found not to match well while on white calibration should be checked again on the primary colors.
  11. When calibration is finished click the Stop button in the upper left.
  12. Click the Display Control tab at the top and set the display mode back to its original setting.
