Galaxy; display blank on both faces, communication good, test pattern does show on sign

Potential Symptoms

  • Display is totally blank on both faces but display boot up does show on sign when power is cycled.
  • Venus 1500 does show status…communication is good and there is a message listed under "running messages".
  • Test patterns do display on the sign.

Environment

  • Message Center
  • Venus 1500 Version 3 or 4

Cause

  • Message that is running on the display is blank…has no content.

Resolution

  • Edit the message and resend to the display.
    1. Open Venus 1500 Message Studio and edit the message currently on the display.
    2. When done editing it, save it before closing the message studio.
    3. Open Venus 1500 Display Manager.
    4. Get status.
    5. Delete the blank message from "running messages".
    6. Select the same message listed in "available messages".
    7. Send the message to the display.
