Announcers voice in the microphone is triggering a clock start.

Potential Symptoms

  • Announcers voice in the microphone of the Horn Start 200 (HS-200) is triggering the time to start in the OmniSport 2000.

Environment

Cause

  • HS-200 and OmniSport 2000 are wired together incorrectly
  • The announcer's voice in the microphone can trigger the clock to start in the OmniSport 2000 when
    • wiring the HS-200's Aux Speaker output to the OmniSport 2000's J12 start input
    • wiring the HS-200's normally closed N/C Other output for CTS equipment to the OmniSport 2000's J12 start input

Resolution

  • For Daktronics HS-200 to OmniSport 2000 always use the Daktronics normally open N/O output of the HS-200 to OmniSport 2000 J12 start input. Refer to Horn Start HS-200 Owners Manual, ED12935 for further information.
