One Time Steps (Typically)

Create a Workspace (only needs to be made once).
  1. Click the Display Studio Hub.
  2. Select New, then click Workspace.
  3. In the Name text box, type a name for the new workspace.
  4. Click Save.
Create a Quick Display Container (Typically users make one per sport).
  1. Right-click within a Workspace.
  2. Click New > Quick Display Container to open the Quick Display Creation window.
  3. Select the desired display from the drop-down list.
  4. Click Save.

Repeated Steps

Create and save the message in Content Studio by clicking on the Pencil Icon in upper right corner of Display Studio.
  1. Launch Display Studio Software.
  2. Select the yellow pencil button in the top right corner to launch Content Studio.
  3. Click the Hub Application Menu in the top left corner and select New.
  4. Select either Display or Display Type.
    • Display - Creates a presentation based on display.
    • Display Type - Creates a presentation based on display type.
  5. Double-click inside the black box with the yellow border.
  6. Type the desired message. Make sure the text stays within the yellow border or the text will appear cut off on the display.
  7. Click the Hub Application Menu in the top left corner and select Save or Save As.
  8. Type in the file name and save within the Daktronics directory (Default folder or create a new folder).
Go back to Display Studio and send files to the player from the M3 File Manager.
  1. Pull up the M3 File Manager in the bottom of Display Studio.
  2. Navigate to the desired file or folder from the Database Files.
  3. Highlight the file or folder name and click on arrow to transfer to player.
  4. Presentations will copy over to the Player Files on the right.
Create a Button in Quick Display Container and add presentations.
  1. Right-click within the quick display container.
  2. Select New Button.
  3. Type the name of the button in the text box.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Locate and select the file(s) which you want associated with the button.
  6. After selecting the files, click Open to return to the Button Creation Window.
  7. Click Save.
Note:  If any one of the steps under Repeated Steps are skipped, then the messages will not play in the Queue and could cause the Status Light to go Red.
