How do I troubleshoot EFI shell errors on the display?

Product: DMP-8000, DI-6000, VP-6000
Components: DI-6000, VP-6000, DMP-8000

Steps

To complete these steps you will need a USB keyboard and a computer to view the VIP's input monitor from.
- Note: While in the DMP BIOS, the watchdog will reboot the DMP after 3 minutes.

Plug a USB keyboard into the port on the DMP.
Log into the VIP and open the input monitor.
Determine if there is a Device Mapping Table.
- Mapping table is present in the examples shown below.
- Mapping table is not present in the example shown below.
Perform the following steps based on the presence of the device mapping table.
- If the device mapping table is present.
  1. Type "exit" and press the Enter key.
  2. Watch the DMP to determine if it then boots properly.
    - If DMP boots up properly, reference How do I disable UEFI Boot? to disable UEFI boot.
    - If you are taken to a boot menu (shown below) or OS error message, reference How do I disable Quick Boot? .
    - If DMP doesn't boot, replace the DMP.
- If the device mapping table is not present.
  - Type "map" and press the Enter key to map Satadom.
    - If Satadom doesn't map and DMP doesn't boot, replace the DMP.
