Cause

In response to rule changes set forth by NCAA for college baseball, Daktronics customers within the NCAA will be responsible for running pace of play timers for specific situations:

Non-Conference games
  • 20 seconds between pitches
  • 2 minutes (120 seconds) between half innings.
Conference games (Southeastern Conference only)
  • When a runner is on base, pitchers have 18 seconds to begin their pitch rotation before clock expires and they are penalized.
  • Without a runner on base, they have 14 seconds.
  • They will have 30 seconds to begin pitch rotation between batters or mound visits.
  • New pitchers have 2:30 before pitch rotation to settle in and warm up.
  • There will be 2:00 minutes in between half innings.
