2023 NCAA Baseball Pitch Timer Rule Changes and Their Impact

Cause
Non-Conference games
- 20 seconds between pitches
- 2 minutes (120 seconds) between half innings.
- When a runner is on base, pitchers have 18 seconds to begin their pitch rotation before clock expires and they are penalized.
- Without a runner on base, they have 14 seconds.
- They will have 30 seconds to begin pitch rotation between batters or mound visits.
- New pitchers have 2:30 before pitch rotation to settle in and warm up.
- There will be 2:00 minutes in between half innings.

- choose code 5001 for Pitch timer
- Preset 1:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PRESET 1>
- Press <0><1><5> followed by <ENTER>. For 18 second time*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
- Press <PRESET 1> to see time entered display
- Preset 2:
- Press <EDIT>
- Press <PRESET 2>
- Press <0><2><0> followed by <ENTER>. For 14 second time*
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
- Press <PRESET 2> to see time entered display
- Preset 3:

- Press <2><2><5> followed by <ENTER>. For 2:30 time.
- Press <ENTER> when prompted for "WARNING" time
