What are the indicators on the front of an LEA amplifier?

Steps

  • FAULT (Red) - Indicates channel shutdown to protect circuits
  • THERMAL (Red) - Indicates channel is at or over temp
  • CLIP (Red) - Indicates a clipping signal - Reduce mixer output level
  • CLIP (Amber) - Indicates the channel is limiting - Reduce mixer output level
  • SIGNAL (Green) - Indicates -40dB of signal is present
  • READY (Green) - Indicates channel is ready to pass audio

Not all ready lights will illuminate for all systems, verify that the programming shown on the front of the amplifier matches the system type being installed:

  • 500HD - Channels 1-4's ready lights should illuminate
  • 1500HD - Channels 1-3's ready lights should illuminate
  • SSN-150 - Channel 1 and Channel 4's ready lights should illuminate
  • SSN-250 - Channels 1-4's ready lights should illuminate
  • SS-200 - Channels 1-4's ready lights should illuminate

  • Green = Amplifier is plugged in and receiving power, but the amp is not powered on
  • Blue = Amplifier is powered on and able to pass audio
If the logo stays green, the amplifier may need to be manually powered on using the small button on the back of the amplifier near the power cord
