Steps

How to Save Database?

  1. Click on My Computer.
  2. Click on C: drive or drive that the Vanguard software is installed on.
  3. Click on Program files (x86) folder.
  4. Click on Daktronics folder.
  5. Click on Nucleus Server folder.
  6. Click on Database Utility folder.
  7. Double Click on Nucleus Database Utility Tool.
  8. Select Save.
  9. Select name and location to save the file to.

How to Upload saved database to new PC?

  1. Click on My Computer.
  2. Click on C: drive or drive that the Vanguard software is installed on.
  3. Click on Program files (x86) folder.
  4. Click on Daktronics folder.
  5. Click on Nucleus Server folder.
  6. Click on Database Utility folder.
  7. Double Click on Nucleus Database Utility Tool.
  8. Select Load.
  9. Click no if you do not want to save your current database.
  10. Click Yes for Restore warning. Note: This will overwrite all sign related configurations and messages.
  11. Select save database that you saved from previous PC.
  12. This will take a few minutes to load to say successful. 
  13. Also you may have to restart computer or Vanguard software to reflect change.
  14. Verify that messages and signs have been loaded properly.
Note: The exported file will not include IP settings as that would limit the utility of disseminating settings in a multi-sign environment.

Note: If client computer is using Vanguard Professional V4 the client machine simply needs to connect to existing server to transfer the data backup to it
