My Venus Control Suite looks different, is missing buttons/icons/tabs, and/or is in an alternate layout than typically, Screen resolution

Symptoms

  • Parts of Venus Control Suite (VCS) look different, are missing buttons/icons/tabs, and/or is in an alternate layout than typical.
  • The following button options may appear at the top of a playlist:

  • The following button options may appear at the top of the media library:

VCSView2.jpg 

  • When attempting to select a date, the calendar drop-down does not appear.
  • Unable to select or enter in start and end dates for reports.
  • Unable to enter an end date for a schedule in VCS locally installed. 
  • Dates on the playlist are not changing.
  • Unable to save the playlist dates & times.
  • In playlist configuration settings the calendar dropdown does not show up.
  • When I configure a playlist my start and end times default to 00:00.

Environment

  • Venus Control Suite (VCS)

Cause

  • A lower or smaller desktop resolution (1024x768) causes the webpage to go into a tablet / mobile view providing the same options but in a different layout.

Resolutions

  • Increase desktop screen resolution.
  • Expand the Venus Control Suite window.
  • Maximize the Venus Control Suite window.
