Daktronics LED Integrated System at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Mercedes-Benz Stadium made its much-anticipated debut in 2017. The new home of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, and many of the landmark events in sports and entertainment, is one of the most technologically advanced venues to date. It features an integrated LED digital canvas of uniquely-shaped displays containing more square footage than any other venue in the world.

Innovation

It Started With a Vision

The Halo

Thinking outside the box of standard digital signage shapes and sizes, the idea to create a revolutionary display to the size and scale never seen before in facility design was born. HOK's innovative design helped create the landmark Halo display.

Mega Column

Mercedes-Benz Stadium's design and structural teams worked closely with our team to collaborate and refine abstract drawings into feasible, attainable designs.

Feather Wall

This resulted in a combination of unmatched design-build capabilities and creative, forward-thinking concepts.

Engineering

Where a Vision Meets Reality

There are many challenges and multiple decisions necessary to bring visions to reality and provide something that resonates as unique to a venue.

As an engineering company, we know it takes proven experience to truly understand the direction of a  project with the end goal in mind. Mercedes-Benz Stadium wanted a partner to embark upon an  engineering feat to help transform the way LED video technology was used in a sports venue. Daktronics  was up for the challenge.

This project was designed years in advance, allowing our engineering team to innovate products and customizations specifically for Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Power Supply

Power Supplies

Engineered new power supplies for cost and infrastructure savings, as well as reducing weight to the roof of the stadium.

Pro Rail Systen

Installation

Piecing it All Together

New stadium construction has a lot of moving parts and multiple parties on site with differing schedules, timelines and milestones. A company with more than 800 combined years in project management has the experience to work through the construction schedule at Mercedes-Benz Stadium over the past two years to bring an LED video solution to life on time and on budget.

We know every moment matters. When the lights came on and fans flocked to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, all eyes looked up at the Halo display and we had it completely installed and ready to make an amazing first impression.
