VCS; Content Studio will not launch, Antivirus software is blocking Daktronics Venus Client


  • Unable to open Content Studio through VCS.
  • When trying to launch Content Studio through VCS, it just sits there. No errors.
  • VenusClientSetup.exe was installed properly, but was scanned by antivirus upon installation.
  • Shortly after Content Studio installation content studio may be openable but eventually it will stop launching or will prematurely close out and will not be able to be launched again.


  • Venus Control Suite (VCS)
  • Content Studio (Daktronics Venus Client)
  • Avast Antivirus
  • Panda Antivirus
  • Super Shield Antivirus
  • Windows 7 & up


  • Antivirus is blocking Daktronics Venus Client.


  1. Create an exception in antivirus for the Daktronics programs folder located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics.
  2. Run a repair on "Daktronics Venus Client" located in Control Panel\Programs and Features.
  3. Ensure Content Studio launches properly through Venus Control Suite.
