Environment

  • Product Family: Message Displays
  • Product: Galaxy
  • Component: Controller setting
  • Control System: Venus Control Suite (VCS), Venus 1500 V3 or V4, M2Config

Steps

  • Venus Control Suite
    1. In Venus Control Suite software select the "Displays" tab on the left.
    2. Click on the display experiencing the symptoms.
    3. Under the "Display Configuration" section, see "Temperature Offset" and adjust the slider back to "0" or adjust minimally to make the display temperature accurate.
  • Venus 1500 V4:
    1. On the Home tab, click on the White Triangle next to the refresh button to open the Display Tools drop down buttons.
    2. Locate the Temperature offset.  Slide the bar to the desired offset value (NOTE: OFFSET WILL BE IN DEGREES CELSIUS).
    3. Click Set Temperature Offset button to set then watch the display status pane at the left to view the updated temperature value.
  • Venus 1500 V3:
    1. With correct display selected in left Display List panel, click on green and brown gears icon at top of Venus 1500 Display Manager window.
    2. Locate the temperature offset. Slide the bar to the desired offset value (NOTE: OFFSET WILL BE IN DEGREES CELSIUS).
    3. Click on Set Temperature Offset.
      • To view current and updated temperature values reported by the sign controller, click on the (i) next to the Get status button in lower left of Display Manager window.
  • M2Config:
    1. Open M2Config  (Warning: Misuse of this utility can render your display inoperable.)
    2. Connect to the display utilizing How To Connect To My Galaxy Display Using The M2Config Utility, DD2342173.
    3. Once connected, see the "Temperature" tab on the left.
    4. "Temperature Offset" appears on the top. Set to desired offset in desired unit of temperature.
    5. Click the blue "Upload" button to set the changes on the display controller.
