SmartLink offline and power cycle did not resolve, loose mezz card

Potential Symptoms

  • SmartLink showing offline after power cycle & the Radio status LED & Status LED are blinking properly.
  • SmartLink can see a partial signal.

Environment

  • Product: DB-4200, DB-5000, DB-6000, DXB-0100

Cause

  • Mezz card is not seated properly.

Resolution

  • Reseat the mezz card.
    1. In the power entrance box turn off breaker labeled CB3
      • When that breaker is turned off it will take the SmartLink at least 3 minutes to completely discharge, watch the lights on the SmartLink to verify that they do go out.
    2. The three standoffs supporting the mezz card will need to be pressed to unlock them.
    3. Double check that none of the card connectors are bent.
    4. When reseating the card make sure that the top two connectors are not plugged into the SmartLink board. See image below.
    5. Make sure to press firmly on the card to seat it properly.
    6. Restore power to the SmartLink and verify connection.
