Largest LED Video Display in New Zealand Installed at Mt Smart Stadium

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Mar. 24, 2016 – Mt Smart Stadium asked Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota to design, manufacture and install the largest LED video display in New Zealand in 2017. The new 212-square-meter display is completely installed and ready to enhance the rugby game-day experience for Warriors fans.

"We expect this will give a massive lift to the fan experience at Mt Smart Stadium, alongside the other improvements we are making at the venue," said Paul Nisbet, Director of Auckland Stadiums. "We have had a blockbuster summer of concerts, with several big names still to come, and now the Warriors kick into their NRL season with a new audiovisual experience in store for fans."

The main display is located at the north end of the facility and measures approximately 11 meters high by 19 meters wide with a 15HD pixel layout. It provides excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility while also incorporating industry-leading environmental protection. It features variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image across the entire display or it can also be separated into multiple zones. These multiple zones can show any combination of live video, instant replays, scoring information, up-to-the-minute statistics, animations, and sponsor advertisements.

Along with the main display, two ribbon displays have also been installed at the stadium, both measuring 1 meter high by 13 meters wide and featuring 15HD pixel layouts. These displays can show versatile content complimentary to the main display such as up-to-the-minute statistics and game information while also being able to highlight sponsors throughout events.
