Receiving error "c:\adflow\bin\ADFLOW.Player.ScreenCommander.exe is not a valid Win32 Application

Potential Symptoms

  • When sending a manual 2Way Screen control command on an XP machine you receive the following on screen error.

Cause

  • There is a version mismatch possibly due to a failed Adflow player version upgrade.
  • Windows XP is EOL (End of life) and cannot run Adflow Player10 or any Adflow Player10 utilities - they require .NET 4.6.1 or higher to operate.

Resolution

  • Remove the invalid exe file for this product line
  • Click the OK button to clear the error
  • Open Windows explorer or File Transfer in BeyondTrust (aka Bomgar)
  • Navigate to the c:\Adflow\bin folder
  • Delete the ADFLOW.Player.ScreenCommander.exe file
