VFC controlled VM-1020s; only 1st sign displays content, but all will display test patterns

Potential Symptoms

  • Multiple VM-1020 (VFC-controlled) - only 1st sign displays content, but all will display test patterns.
  • Almost all test patterns will display on all the VM-1020 lines, with exception of Line ID which will only display on Line 1 (1st VM-1020)
  • Multiple VM-1020 line displays controlled by one VFC and one VCB (VCB aliased to Sign 1 VCB on all other VM-1020 lines)

Cause

  • DMP and VIP times and time zones out of sync.

Resolution

  • Log into web UI of DMP (display IP) and VIP (display IP:85).  Ensure time zone, date and times are correct and synced.
