Unable to connect to message center display with Ethernet communication, Incorrect port.

Potential Symptoms

  • Default port 3001 in M2Config and Venus V4 is selected but the port is not using 3001.

  • Control System: Venus 1500 V3, Venus 1500 V4, M2Config

Cause

  • Default port 3001 in M2Config and Venus V4 is selected but the port is not using 3001.

Resolution

  • Verify which port Venus and M2Config should be set to.

    • Uncheck Use Default (3001) and enter the correct port number in Venus V4 under Configure Display, Ethernet Connection, Enter a DNS or IP address below and specify a port number.
    • Click continue and finish configuring the display in V4, verify communication.
    • M2Config: Select Connection Configuration, uncheck Use Default (3001) and enter the correct port number (Socket) and click ok. Verify communication to the display in M2Config.
