Distorted content from DMP 8000 to VIP-5060

Potential Symptoms

  • Content from the DMP is distorted and/or sparkling but the test patterns from the VIP 5060 are clear with no visual issues.
  • Test patterns and content from the DMP 8000 are garbled and /or distorted but when running test patterns from the VIP 5060 there are no visual issues'
  • VIP 5060 monitor is blank but content seen on DMP.
  • Input on VIP 5060 showing 0x0, 0hz
  • Display may be blank
  • DMP may only detect a single monitor

Environment

Cause

  • Bad DVI to mini display port adapter from the DMP to the VIP 5060
  • Bad DVI cable from the DMP 8000 to the VIP

Resolution

  • Replace the DVI to mini display port adapter and or the DVI cable itself
