How to configure league and teams in Live Book GFX SportApp?

For each game or event, you can specify the league and teams, and how the score bug displays team logos and colors.
Your SportApp is pre-configured with some leagues and teams. You can edit the pre-configured team information including team logos and colors as needed. You can also add or delete teams from a league.

Answer/Steps

To specify a league and teams:

  1. Open the SportApp Settings window.  (bottom right corner)
  2. Click the Reset button to return all scores to zero and remove any other data remaining from previous games.

  3. Go to Settings dialog> Game section,  and from the League dropdown list choose a league.

  4. Select teams from Home and Visitor dropdowns which are outlined in blue.

    The score bug now displays the abbreviation, logo and color associated with the selected teams.
  5. To save your settings and close this dialog, click OK at the bottom right of the dialog. Or, you may continue to change other settings in this window, and then click OK.
To add a team:
  1. Open the SportApp Settings window. 
  2. In the Game section, below either the Visitor or Home dropdowns, click the green plus button.

    The Team dialog appears.
  3. Click to place your cursor in the Team Name field and type the team name.

  4. Click to place your cursor in the Team Abbreviation field. You can type up to four letters here to identify the team. These letters will appear as the score bug identifiers.
  5. You can also set the team colors to display on the scorebug if it supports primary and secondary colors. To associate a color with this team, do one of these:
    • To identify a color with a hexadecimal color code, double-click in the field to the right of the Team color picker. By default this field is populated with #FFFFFFF. Type the code of your preferred color.
    • Click the Color arrow to reveal a color picker.

  6. To specify a color, do one or more of these:
    • Adjust RGBA values with the sliders.
    • Click anywhere in the color field.
    • Use the Hue slider to the right.
    • Type in a color value.
  7. To exit the color picker, click anywhere outside of it.
  8. Add the teams wins and losses, if the template supports it, it will be visible on the scorebug or go to break.
  9. Add a logo. 
    1. Click Select Logo to open a navigation dialog.
    2. Navigate to the logo file that you want to use. Double-click the file name or click the file name and then click Open.

    3. The logo appears in the Logo Preview Thumbnail.
    4. Click Save to save this team information and exit the Team dialog.
To edit display specifications for a team:
  1. Open the SportApp Settings window. 
  2. In the Game section, with the team selected in either the Visitor or Home dropdowns, click the pencil icon to edit the team info. The Team dialog appears.

  3. Make changes as desired:
    1. To change or edit the Team name or team abbreviation, type in the appropriate field. Note, each team name and abbreviation within a league must be unique.
    2. To edit the team colors, type a hexadecimal color code in the Team Color field or click the dropdown arrow to reveal a color picker.
    3. To change the team logo, click the Select Logo button. A navigation window appears. Navigate to the desired logo, and select it, and then click OK in the navigation window.
  4. Your system includes many pre-installed logo images.
  5. Click Save to save your changes and exit the Team dialog.

To delete a team:
  1. Open the SportApp Settings window. 
  2. In the Game section, select the team that you want to delete from either the Visitor or Home dropdowns.
  3. Below the team name, click the trash can icon to delete a team. A dialog appears to confirm that you want to delete the team.
  4. Click Yes. The team name is no longer available in the Visitor or Home dropdown lists. However, the team logo remains on your system and is available, should you wish to add this team again.
