Environment

  • Product Family: Audio
  • Product: SSR-AM, SSR-WM

Cause

  • The low frequencies coming into the microphone are being reproduced by the sound system.  With a low voice or a lot of handling of the microphone, the low frequencies can become more noticeable and more pronounced.  Symptoms include the voice sounding boomy or heavy and low thuds from handling the microphone.

Resolution

  • Press the Bass Cut or Low Cut button in to cut down the low frequencies of the microphone input and improve intelligibility and reduce handling noise.
  • On the SSR-AM the button is located by the volume knob for the microphone.
