Cause

  • The ducker switch on the back is enabled.  The ducker brings down the volume level whenever audio is present on the microphone.  Ducking is used to make event operation easier by fading in and out any source other than the main microphone while it is being talked into.

Resolution

  • Disable the ducker by setting  dipswitch 5 to OFF
