Shots on Goal incorrect with NHL Hits

Potential Symptoms

  • Shots on Goal were edited by the NHL and the updated total is not showing on the DSTI RTD output

Environment

  • Product Family: Sport Software and Interfaces
  • Product: DSTI- Daktronics Scoring and Timing Interface
  • Components: NHL HITS interface
  • Control System: Professional Hockey

Cause

  • DSTI Shots on Goal (SOG) total would be a sum of the Period SOG. If a SOG total is edited after the period, NHL doesn't send out an update packet after that (for example: If period 1 SOG were edited during period 2, DSTI would not get that change)

Resolution

  • Update to the latest version of DSTI, 2.21.18.0 or higher - How do I update my DSTI?
  • With this version, DSTI now takes the total SOG from the NHL and outputs that rather than taking a sum of the total

For Temporary Operation

  • Use the SOG All Sport to override the output
